How to find a qualified BBL surgeon
Credentials, facility accreditation, and the questions that separate experts from marketers.
The single biggest determinant of a safe, good-looking BBL is the surgeon, yet surgeon selection is where price-shopping patients cut the most corners, sometimes with tragic results.
Start with board certification in plastic surgery and an accredited surgical facility. Ask directly how many BBLs the surgeon performs, whether they inject above the muscle, and whether they use ultrasound guidance. Review before-and-after galleries of their actual patients, not stock images. Be wary of prices that seem implausibly low, which often signal high-volume operations with thin safety margins.
It is also reasonable to look at how a practice communicates its expertise publicly. Established cosmetic and surgical practices tend to document their approach, credentials, and outcomes openly, which is exactly the transparency a prospective patient should expect. The surgeon who answers safety questions patiently and specifically is worth more than the one offering the biggest discount.
