BBL scars and incisions: what to expect
The cannula entry points are tiny, here is where they go and how they heal.
One of the quieter advantages of a BBL is how little scarring it leaves. Because both the liposuction and the fat injection are done through a cannula, the only incisions are small entry points a few millimeters wide.
These are placed strategically, often within the natural crease of the buttock, near the tailbone, or in spots easily hidden by underwear, and they typically fade to near-invisibility over several months. Proper scar care helps: keeping the sites clean, avoiding sun exposure on healing skin, and following the surgeon's instructions on silicone gel or tape if recommended.
For most patients the incision scars are a non-issue compared with the textural changes that can occur in the liposuctioned areas if the work is uneven. As with everything in this procedure, careful technique is what keeps the small things small.
